Welcome to IgnitePT classes. These classes are genuinely a cut above the rest and are guaranteed to give you great results using our combination of top trainers and your efforts. The personal and individual touch is our speciality and we reflect this in our classes by never having more than six people in any class. We also provide state of the art equipment that follows the latest proven trends all within a specially designed studio that provides all the challenges, stimulation and motivation you need to make working out effective, varied and fun.
Unlike many classes we also never compromise on the quality of trainer as these are drawn from our pool of elite qualified personal trainers. We never accept any trainer to work at IgnitePT without at least REPS 3 (register of exercise professionals) hence you only get trained by those at the top end of their profession. We also organise you into respective skill levels where the classes require it so that the trainer can concentrate on giving you the attention you deserve, although in reality trainer focus is something never of issue with such small classes. No more feeling inadequate that you can’t do some of the exercises, nor frustrated that you are advanced and never get trainer focus. With six people and a profiled class you will get a great workout, progress your skills and all at a truly bargain price.

Kettlebells are a cast iron weight (resembling a cannonball with a handle) which is used to preform ballistic exercises that will work the body as a complete unit resulting in an incredibly intense workout that combines cardio, resistance and flexibility all in one hit! They will rev up your metabolic rate, increase your conditioning, stamina and endurance, translating into an impressive amount of calories burned resulting in a stronger, leaner more energised you…but you’ll have to earn it!

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced boxing classes currently running.
Boxing as a sport can benefit you in a number of ways, from increased cardio vascular fitness to aid fat loss and enhanced heart and lung health, improved speed,
stamina and co-ordination, increased confidence, stress relief, proprioception gains and improved core function.
In our beginner to intermediate classes we work using gloves and focus pads and introduce you to all the boxing techniques used in the professional ring.
We then build you up to create all those high number combinations that you see the professionals using.
The techniques used in these fun and varied sessions include correct stance and guard, footwork, basic to advanced punch combinations, defence and correct use of focus pads.
The intermediate to advanced introduces and enhances your ability in light sparring through to simulated boxing matches.
The session is held in our boxing ring and using the bespoke made boxing frame.

All levels can participate in a class due to the bag sizing used to differentiate skills / fitness levels
The Bulgarian Bag is an awesome training tool and posted on many sites as the ultimate one.
It’s the one piece of equipment we have in the studio that we end up purchasing for our clients personal use as it is so versatile and effective.
Combine its range of movements with a top trainer and you can get a killer workout.
Due to its awkward shape and that you can throw it in virtually any direction it challenges your stabilization and mobilization muscles whilst providing a fat burner workout.
Lower body it challenges the leg muscles in the carry and lift sequences that the classes take you through.
Upper body strength is encompassed with exercises such as bicep curls, pushups on the bag etc.
It’s actually tough to think of an area of the body that this won’t enhance.
In the sessions we work through a sequence of moves using the Bulgarian bags, each of them challenging and many including explosive style movements.
Bag weighting is suited to clients and the exercises gauged and controlled to each individual’s ability.
The session is held in our functional training zone and use will be made of the sled run for walking exercises such as lunges and for the advanced drags with the bag.

Beginner class currently running.
Interval Training involves bursts of high intensity work and is often practised by long distance runners and sportsmen such as footballers.
Basically anyone who wants a high cardiovascular work out that boosts metabolism and burns the fat.
The high intensity cannot of course be maintained throughout the whole session so short rest periods or low level activity is interspersed into the workout.
As well as the aerobic power and stamina that it enhances intervals can also promote strength, strengthen the core and improve flexibility in well designed sessions.
The sessions are likely to encompass some or all of the following equipment; Kettlebells, Olympic rings, sled push, pull or tug of war drag, medicine balls, plyo-boxes, free weights.
In reality equipment is changed on a regular basis for each set to keep the sessions varied and challenging.
The art for the trainer is balancing the intensities and keeping the energy and motivation levels for the class at their peak.
The session is held in the functional zone and encompasses some of the equipment from the strength area. Extensive use of the sled run for some sessions is involved.#

Beginner class currently running.
Self Defence is a key skill to acquire, particularly the capability to assess your surroundings and remove yourself from potentially threatening circumstances before an attack occurs.
The training also equips you to deal with potentially violent situations. Krav Maga is a hand-to-hand combat system originally developed in Israel which involves grappling, wrestling,
and striking techniques. Highly respected as a skill set it has been taught to many elite Special Forces around the world.
The session is predominantly aimed at teaching a skill yet many also find it a beneficial form of aerobic exercise due to the intense nature of the session and the contact concept.
The sessions will include areas such as targeting vulnerable parts of the body, counter attacks, and neutralising an opponent amongst others.
The session is held in the free matting area of the studio and will be an instructor led session.

A combination of Strongman type exercises including Sled pushing/pulling, Various unstable weights, Bulgarian bags etc to increase strength/fitness and fat loss. Ventures away from most of your normal gym related exercises though still replicating movements associated with resistance training. A challenging workout with a twist.
The fantastic thing about strongman training is that there is no single way to perform the exercises. You have to improvise and work it out. The sled won't glide smoothly under weight, zig zagging farmer walks challenge your balance, the sandbag and water bag shift their weight unpredictably.
